Rosalia Vila is a Spanish pop and flamenco artist. From her teens the singer is a part of popular music as well as flamenco. Her music also strays into various genres, including hip-hop soul and trap. Pepe Haichuela, a flamenco guitarist and renowned musician has described the sound of this young artist as sweet and sharp and grit. El Mal Querer, her sequel album to Los Angeles in 2017, was both a critical and commercial hit. The album topped the Billboard Latin Pop Albums Chart and won a Grammy. La Fama, featuring The Weeknd came out in 2021. Motomami featured songwriting partnerships with a variety of artists, including Cory Henry, James Blake and others. The release came on March 20, 2022 after an appearance of the single Chicken Teriyaki on Saturday Night Live. Rosalia did her solo performance for the first time ever on the show. Motomami Rosala as well as winning three Latin Grammy Awards and the Latin Album of the Year award two times, was the first woman to be awarded both.
