Emma

Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson is the daughter of British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby (born in Paris) and Chris Watson (born in Paris). She moved to Oxfordshire in the year she turned five and enrolled in at the Dragon School. Emma decided to be an actor by the age of six. Over the course of several years she was enrolled in the Oxford branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts part-time school. There she learned singing, dancing and acting. At the age of 10 years old, Emma took part in many Stagecoach plays and productions. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) the movie adaptation of J.K. Rowling's bestselling British novel began casting in 1999. Emma was found by agents via her Oxford teacher. After eight auditions consistently, producer David Heyman told Emma and other applicants Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint that they had been cast as the three leads Hermione Granger Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. Emma's first appearance on the big screen came in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone that was released in the year 2001. The film set records for beginning-day and weekend-opening sales as well as being the most-grossing feature of the year 2001. Reviewers have been highly lauding the film and the performance by three young actors. The Daily Telegraph praised Emma for her performance. Later Emma was nominated for five prizes for her work in the film winning an award called the Young Artist Award for Leading Actress of a Younger in a feature Film.
